Tonight I caught a glimpse of another blogger’s post (because I didn’t have time to actually read it) that mentioned NaBloPoMo coming up soon. Holy learning log! I can’t believe it’s time for that already. A new post every day for a month? Can I do it this year?

This is just another in a long line of incredulities when it comes to this year’s calendar. This has been a six months like no other. I’ve mentioned before that the summer was busy and hence fast. At each mile marker of the season we stood in slack-jawed disbelief.

Sarah’s adventure didn’t help matters much. All of life seemed suspended for us for nearly a month. But in reality, life was just clicking by without us. It put us another month behind, and from that we have not recovered. Halloween is in less than two weeks. And just behind that dark door with creaking hinges lies November and the nightmare before Christmas.

And so I cringe at the idea of the coming blog posting season. But I’ll commit to it here and now. I’ll commit to it and issue a challenge to all of those who have started blogs of their own this past year, like this one , this one , this one , this one , this one , and  this one . I’m going. Are you coming with me?
